Our Second Week at CRRU Demonstration School!
Today I assist Teacher Dona to teach at Kindergarten 2. That day teacher Dona teach about “What’s your name”. Teaching method that she used is arrange children sat on circle and student take a turn to ask friend’s next to them “What’s your name”. And the kids that been asked should say “My name is….”, and keep repeated. We do that conversation about three times until the children is understand. Teacher Dona said that she already teached this topic before, but she repeated the topic again until the children is completely understand. So, teacher Dona ask us for only use one topic for our lesson plan.
Activity that they had is doing their worksheet. In their classroom, the didn’t had table and chair like I used to see at Kindergarten Classroom in Indonesia. When they have to do their work, they will do in the floor and make group. All their stationary is provided by school, so they didn’t have to bring from home. They teached to share with their friends, for example when they had to colouring their worksheet they will make group and share the colouring pencil.
14th August 2019
On 14th August 2019 we have class at Kinder 1. The children was watching cartoon we enter the classroom. The class start with morning songs as always and repated some imperative sentnces.
That day we play about the action verbs. Teacher Donna plays the video about the action verbs. For example “walk” then we walk around the class. We also teach the children “Thankyou”. The children here really like if their teacher give them a stamp. Teacher donna gave me the stamps, and ask me to stamped children hand, and they had to say thankyou.
